Downtown Trick or Treat returns Oct. 31

AUBURN, Ala.- Something spooky this way comes on Tuesday, Oct. 31, with Auburn’s 23rd-annual Downtown Trick or Treat! We'll have have a ghoulishly good time in downtown Auburn from 6-8 p.m., so make plans to join Auburn Parks and Recreation for this fun event!
Children and families are encouraged to visit downtown merchants and trick or treat for candy and other Halloween treats. DJ K-Touch will provide all the tunes for downtown visitors to dance to, and there will be over 30 candy stops.
Don't forget the best part of the night — the 2023 Costume Contest! Trophies will be awarded in five categories:
- Best Individual Costume (for costumed participants 12 and under)
- Best Group Costume
- Best Pet Costume
- Spookiest Costume
- Most Original Costume
Make sure to wear your Halloween best and you could be our pick of the patch! Between 6:30 and 7 p.m., our secret judges will hand out costume contest buttons. All those invited to participate in the 2023 Costume Contest should meet near the DJ booth under the corresponding category sign at 7:15 p.m. A winner in each category will be chosen by mystery guest judges and awarded prizes.
Can’t attend Downtown Trick or Treat? Neighborhood door-to-door trick-or-treating is also scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m.
Downtown streets will close for the event at 5 p.m. Downtown Trick or Treat is FREE and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Parents must accompany children to this event. Follow @COAParksAndRec on Facebook and Instagram for more information.
